Very good condition antique US Model 1896 Krag Jorgensen Rifle in .30-40 caliber that is marked “U.S. / MODEL 1896. SPRINGFIELD ARMORY. 62316.” on the receiver. Metal finish is original blue showing some normal wear. Bore is good, a little gray with good rifling that shows some normal wear. Stock was arsenal refinished and shows some normal handling marks. Underside of wrist has a light “script P in circle” cartouche. A good example of an antique US Model 1896 Krag Rifle.
