ANTIQUE TULA 1898 RECEIVER-NICE
Very good condition WWII Finnish Civil Guard M28/30 Mosin Nagant Rifle in 7.62 x 54r caliber that has the Sako Arsenal marking on the barrel and dated 1939. The “Sk.Y.” marking on the barrel was lined out and there is an added Sako marking to the right of said marking. This indicates that the rifle was sold directly to one of the Civil Guard districts. This interesting rifle was assembled using a Tula 1898 production receiver from a repurposed Russian M1891 rifle and so qualifies as an antique, no FFL required to purchase. Rifle is NOT import marked and has matching serial numbers on the barrel and bolt. Floorplate does not match and buttplate is unnumbered, as is correct and common with Finnish rifles. Metal finish is original blue showing some normal wear. Bore is good, somewhat gray with good rifling that shows some normal wear. Stock has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. Handguard has a crack. Right side buttstock has a sharp clear “40” dated Civil Guard cartouche. Complete with correct original cleaning rod. A nice Finn M28/30 Mosin Nagant Rifle with a desirable antique receiver.
