Very good condition pre WWII Finnish Civil Guard Model 91/24 “Lotta” Mosin Nagant Rifle in 7.62 x 54r caliber that has the early Civil Guard marking on the barrel. This interesting gun was assembled using a heavy, stepped barrel manufactured by Venus Arms Works and marked “BOHLER STAHL” on the underside of the barrel. This interesting gun was assembled using a repurposed 1897 production Russian receiver and so qualifies as an antique, no FFL required to purchase. Rifle has a Civil Guard “S30497” district marking on the left side of the receiver for the Pori District. Rifle is import marked on the barrel and has all matching serial numbers including barrel, bolt, and floorplate. Metal finish is nice original blue, with the buttplate having brown and gray patina, otherwise showing a little normal wear. Bore is good with strong rifling and a little gray. Stock was arsenal refinished and shows some normal handling marks. The escutcheon on the left side of the forend is missing one screw. Right side buttstock has faint Civil Guard markings. Complete with correct original cleaning rod. A nice Finn Civil Guard 91/24 Mosin Nagant Rifle with a desirable antique receiver.
