Very good condition WWI French Model 1912 .22 caliber bolt action single shot training rifle that is a scaled-down version of the French Mle 1886 Lebel Rifle. Missing the extractor, and the bolt does not stop when drawn back (slides out of receiver). Rifle is Metal finish is excellent original blue. Bore is good, a little gray with good rifling and a little pitting. Stock has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. Left side of wrist has a small crack by the receiver. Right side of wrist has a small chip by the receiver. Right side buttstock has a faint matching serial number. A rare French .22 training rifle that will make a fine addition to a collection.
