Very good condition WWII Japanese Type 38 Arisaka Rifle in 6.5 x 50mm caliber that has a full untouched mum on the receiver and was manufactured by Tokyo Arsenal without a series marking. Rifle is NOT import marked and has all matching assembly numbers except the floorplate and bolt. Firing pin has a broken tip. This interesting rifle comes with a detached label that states it was brought back by USMC Corporal K.O. Quinn. Rifle shows rare and desirable Japanese Navy use, with a Kure Naval Arsenal anchor stamp on the underside of the buttstock. Metal finish is original blue showing some normal wear. Bore is dark with average rifling. Stock has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. Underside of buttstock has two small kanji character inspector proof marks. Rifle is complete with correct original cleaning rod, nonmatching numbered dustcover, and leather sling that has Japanese Navy style white painted kanji characters. A nice Marine Corps bringback, Japanese Naval issued T-38 that will make an excellent addition to a collection.
