Good condition original antique Civil War Colt Model 1851 Navy Revolver in .36 caliber percussion that is serial number 127xxx, which dates it to production in 1862. I believe the additional “2” on the serial numbers may indicate it was part of a pair. Mechanically functions fine and has all matching serial numbers. Metal finish is original blue showing some wear. Brass grip straps and triggerguard have nice mellow patina. The cylinder engraving is worn. 7 ½” octagonal barrel has a fair bore with good rifling and some pitting. Wood grip has been sanded and refinished. A classic Civil War Colt 1851 Navy revolver that will make a fine addition to a collection.
