Good condition antique Belgian Civil Guard Model 1870 Comblain Rifle in 11.4 x 50r caliber. Mechanically functions fine. Bronze receiver, bands, nosecap, and buttplate have been polished. Remaining metal finish is original blue showing some wear to brown and gray patinas. Bore is bright and excellent with strong rifling. Stock has been refinished and shows some normal handling marks. Rifle comes with original bayonet that is in good condition. Bayonet has original bright finish with some graying. Left ricasso has the Alex Coppel trademark. Brass grip shows some wear. Bayonet fits rifle fine, but the lock button does not work securely. No scabbard. Rifle is also complete with correct original cleaning rod. A hard to find Belgian Comblain Rifle that will make a fine addition to a collection.
