Very good condition WWI US Model 1917 Enfield Rifle in .30-06 caliber that was manufactured by Eddystone, as marked on the receiver. Rifle is NOT import marked and has all visible Eddystone parts. Barrel is dated “6-18” for June 1918. Rifle has a British proof mark on the receiver side rail, indicating it was supplied as war aid to the UK during WWII. Metal finish is arsenal refinished blued and gray parkerized, showing some normal wear. Bore is bright and excellent with strong rifling. Stock has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. Underside of forend has an eagle head proof mark in front of the triggerguard. Forend tip is marked “E”.
