Good condition original Civil War US Navy Sharps Model 1862 Carbine in .52 rimfire caliber. Mechanically functions fine and has nice manufacturer markings on the receiver. Receiver has faded case colors. Carbine has an aged reproduction leather barrel covering. Rear sight is missing. Bore is good, a little dark, with strong rifling and some pitting. Stock has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. A good representative example of an uncommon US Navy Sharps M1862 Carbine, with only 6,686 produced.
