WWII GERMAN G43 SEMI AUTO RIFLE

WWII GERMAN G43 SEMI AUTO RIFLE-ac 44-W/ ORIGINAL ZF 4 SCOPE & MOUNT
W/ ORIGINAL CAPTURE PAPER & DOG TAGS-MATCHING #’S

Very good condition WWII German G43 semi auto rifle in 8mm Mauser (7.92 x 57) caliber that is marked “ac 44” on the receiver for manufacture by Walther in 1944. Rifle is NOT import marked and has all matching serial numbers including receiver, bolt carrier, and stock. Rifle is complete with original ZF 4 scope and mount. Mount is matching numbered to the rifle and fits gun perfectly. Scope has original blue finish mostly worn to brown and gray patina, with some pitting. Optics are a little hazy. Marked with manufacturer code “ddx”. Complete with leather lens covers. Rifle comes with original June 5, 1945 dated capture certificate stating that Tech Sergeant Leslie Candlers was allowed to bring this rifle home. Paper lists rifle and scope, both by serial number. Rifle mechanically functions fine, but the bolt handle has been neatly removed. Comes with one original “gcb” coded magazine. Metal finish is original blue showing a little normal wear. Bore is good with strong rifling and some gray. Stock has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. Handguard has a couple of cracks. Underside of buttstock has a matching serial number. Right side buttstock has an unusual “RFV 014” cartouche. “RFV” generally stands for Customs Service, and that would be very unusual to find on a G43. The marking is listed in the capture certificate, so it is period original but still mysterious to me. Comes with a leather sling that appears to be a reproduction, and oiler and spare parts that store in the butt trap. Also complete with original cleaning rod and front sight hood. A nice G43 and Zf 4 scope with capture paper that will make a fine addition to a collection.
