Good condition original antique pre Civil War Colt Model 1849 Pocket Revolver in .31 percussion caliber. Mechanically needs work as the cylinder does not rotate when hammer is cocked. Gun has all matching numbers. The wedge is loose fitting. Metal finish is old refinished nickel plated showing some scattered flaking. 4” octagonal barrel has a dark pitted bore with strong rifling. Wood grip was refinished long ago, and varnish shows some flaking. Left side has a repaired crack. A classic Colt Model 1849 Pocket Revolver that will make a great addition to a collection!
