Good condition original antique Civil War US Army Starr breechloading cavalry carbine in .54 percussion caliber. Mechanically functions fine and has good markings. Original blue metal finish is mostly worn to brown and gray patinas. Bore is very good and bright with strong rifling. Stock has original finish and shows some normal wear and handling marks. Right side of forend has a chip and an old repair. Left side of wrist has an inspector cartouche. A nice Civil War Starr cavalry carbine that will make a fine addition to a collection.
