Very good condition original WWII German army officer dress sword that has the Carl Eickhorn “squirrel” trademark on the left ricasso and is a textbook Model Nr. 1706 “Scharnhorst” from the Field Marshall series. 35” blade has nice original bright finish and was never sharpened. Still has original leather washer at the base. Brass hilt has nice looking patina Right side of guard has eagle and swastika. Lion head pommel has nice red glass eyes. Grip has tight wire wrap and no damage. Fitted in correct original steel scabbard that has original black paint showing a little flaking and several dents. A nice WWII German Heer officer sword!
