
MATCHING-GREAT LOOKING-VERY SCARCE-UNIT MARKED
Very good condition antique Prussian Model 1860 Dreyse “Needle Gun” Fusilier Rifle in 15.4mm caliber. Mechanically functions fine and has intact needle. Left rear of receiver has Danzig Arsenal and model designation markings. Right rear of receiver has 1863 and 1865 dates. Rifle is NOT import marked and has all matching serial numbers. Receiver and bolt are original “in the white” with some graying. Remaining metal has nice looking plum brown patina. Bore is dark and pitted with strong rifling. Stock has been refinished and shows some handling marks. Right side buttstock has faint Prussian cartouches. Buttplate has an unknown Unit Marking. Complete with correct original clearing rod. A rare Dreyse needle gun that will make an excellent addition to a collection!
