Very good condition original antique English Terry’s Patent breechloading percussion rifle in 25 bore (about .62) caliber. Mechanically functions fine. Marked “TERRY’S PATENT 25 BORE” and is Indian retailer marked “CHAS. NEPHEW & CO. CALCUTTA” on the barrel. Also marked “CHAS. NEPHEW & CO.” on the lock. Barrel has Nepalese or Hindi markings. Metal finish is original “in the white” with some gray and brown patina. 29” octagonal barrel has a very good bright bore with strong rifling. Original sights are present. Stock has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. Wrist and forend have original checkering. Left side of forend has a few chips. Horn forend tip has some chips on the left side.
