Good condition original Italian Piedmont sword bayonet for the Model 1844/71 Carcano “needle gun” artillery Musketoon. 17 ¾” blade has original bright finish with some graying and a few spots of light pitting. Brass grip has even color. Lock button and leaf spring function fine. Fitted in correct original leather scabbard that has brass throat and tip. Leather shows some wear and flaking, stitching is tight. A hard to find bayonet that will make a fine addition to a collection.
