Very good condition WWII French Mle 1936 MAS bolt action rifle in 7.5 x 54mm caliber. Rifle is NOT import marked and has all matching serial numbers except the floorplate, including receiver, bolt, triggerguard, forestock, and buttstock. Metal finish is original black paint showing some wear. Bore is bright and excellent with strong rifling. Stock has original finish and shows some handling marks. Right side of buttstock has a crack behind the receiver. Underside of forend and left side buttstock have sharp clear matching serial numbers. Right side buttstock has a sharp clear May 1940 dated roundel cartouche. Complete with correct original matching numbered spike bayonet that stores in a tube under the barrel. A good example of a wartime MAS 36 rifle.
