Very good condition original WWI US Model 1917 trench knuckle fighting knife that is maker marked “L.F.&C.” (Landers, Frary & Clark) on top of the guard and dated 1917. Blade has original blue finish showing some normal wear. Guard has original blue finish showing some wear. Wood grip has original finish and a good tight fit with some normal handling marks. Fitted in correct original leather sheath that has steel throat and tip and brass belt hook. Leather is supple with some wear and is maker marked “JEWELL” and dated 1918. Stitching and rivets are tight. A nice example of a classic WWI US M1917 trench knife for your collection.
