Very good condition original antique Spencer Model 1865 Military “Musket” Rifle in .56-50 rimfire caliber. Mechanically functions fine and features the Stabler cutoff. Metal finish is original “in the white” with some gray and brown patina. 32 ½” barrel has original sights. Bore is gray with good rifling and some pitting. Stock has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. Left side buttstock has two faint inspector cartouches behind the sling bar. A hard to find Spencer Model 1865 Musket, with only 1,000 produced, that will make a fine addition to a collection.
