Good condition WWII Japanese Type 99 Arisaka rifle in 7.7 x 58mm caliber that was manufactured as part of the 40^th Series by Jinsen Arsenal. Rifle is serial number “12”, has the rare early features seldom found on Jinsen rifles, and is documented by serial number on page 143 in the Banzai book. Mum is ground. Rifle is NOT import marked and has all matching serial numbers including receiver, bolt body, extractor, safety, and firing pin. Metal finish is original blue showing wear to brown and gray patinas. Bore is bright and excellent with strong rifling. Stock was lightly sanded and refinished. Underside of buttstock has two small faint kanji character inspector proof marks. Complete with correct original monopod, cleaning rod, and anti-aircraft rear sight wings. A rare, documented, very early Jinsen T-99 with matching numbers.
