Very good condition WWII US military Remington Model 11 Sportsman “riot gun” semi auto 12 gauge shotgun. Has a “THE SPORTSMAN” marked bolt, but the Model 11 magazine. Serial number 705xxx, which is in the correct range for WWII US military guns. Marked “U.S.” and “flaming bomb” on the receiver and barrel. Barrel is marked with date code “OMM” for July 1943. Mechanically functions fine. Metal finish is excellent original blue. Bore is bright and excellent. Stock has nice even finish and was probably arsenal refinished. Left side buttstock has “FJA”, “RA”, and ordnance wheel cartouches. Underside of wrist is marked “P”. A nice US military Remington Model 11 Sportsman Riot Gun.
