Very good condition antique American “mule ear” percussion combination rifle/shotgun that features a .38 caliber rifle over a 12 gauge smoothbore shotgun. Maker marked “S. HALE MIDLAND CITY” on top of the rifle barrel. Mechanically functions fine. Metal finish is nice original brown. 32” round barrels have original sights. Rifle barrel has a dark bore with good rifling and some pitting. Shotgun bore is dark with some pitting. Stock has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. Left side of wrist has a chip by the breech tang. Complete with both original wooden ramrods. A rare and unique American mule ear combination gun that will make an excellent addition to a collection!
