Very good condition WWII Finnish Civil Guard Model 1939 Mosin Nagant Rifle in 7.62 x 54r caliber that has the Sako Arsenal marking on the barrel and dated 1942 along with the Civil Guard “Sk.Y.” marking. Rifle is import marked on the barrel and has matching serial numbers on the barrel and bolt. Floorplate does not match and buttplate is unnumbered, which is common and correct for Finnish Mosin Nagant Rifles. Rifle was assembled using a repurposed receiver from a Russian M1891 Mosin Nagant Rifle that was produced by Tula in 1896, and so qualifies as an antique, no FFL required to purchase. Metal finish is nice original blue showing a little normal wear, mostly on the buttplate. Bore is bright and excellent with strong rifling. Stock has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. Right side buttstock has a “43” dated Civil Guard cartouche. Complete with correct original cleaning rod. A hard to find Finn Civil Guard M39 Mosin Nagant Rifle that will make a fine addition to a collection.
