Good condition original antique Portuguese military flintlock pistol in .75 caliber. Lock is marked with the Portuguese royal cypher, “LISBON”, and a partially legible “18??” date. Unit marked on the triggerguard. Mechanically functions OK, but cock is a little loose. Lock has mixed plum brown, brown, and gray patinas. 9 ¼” barrel is “in the white” with some gray and brown patina and some light pitting. Smooth bore is dark and pitted. Stock has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. Forend has a few small chips by the pins. Complete with correct original ramrod. A hard to find Portuguese flintlock pistol that will make a fine addition to a collection.
