Very good condition original WWII German police bayonet that is complete with original scabbard and frog. Bayonet is maker marked “E. & F. HORSTER SOLINGEN” on the left ricasso and has the “dagger H” trademark on the right ricasso. Has a “star K” acceptance marking on the blade spine. Bayonet and scabbard have matching unit markings-“S.D.VII.65.” for the Schutzpolizei in Dusseldorf District. Blade has nice original bright finish and was never sharpened. Still has original leather washer at the base. Hilt has nice original bright finish with a little normal wear. Hilt fittings have very slight play with the blade. Stag grips have a good tight fit and no damage. Right side has nice original police eagle. Fitted in correct original leather scabbard that has steel throat and tip. Leather shows some normal wear, stitching is tight. Leather frog is supple with some normal wear and flaking. Stitching is tight. A nice WWII German police bayonet rig with matching unit markings!
