Good condition antique Spanish Model 1891 Mauser Cavalry Carbine in 7.65 x 53mm caliber that has Loewe Berlin manufacturer markings on the receiver side rail and a Spanish shield crest on the receiver ring over “BERLIN 1894”. Carbine is NOT import marked and has all matching serial numbers including receiver, barrel, stock, and floorplate. Bolt is unnumbered. Metal has mostly brown patina. Bore is bright with some pitting and has good average rifling that shows some wear. Stock has been refinished and shows some normal handling marks. Right side of stock has a faint matching serial number below the receiver. Left side buttstock has a faint roundel cartouche. A hard to find Spanish M1891 Mauser Cavalry Carbine, with only 5,000 produced.
