Very good condition original antique French Gendarmerie pattern flintlock pistol in .65 caliber. Similar to the Mle 1770, but has brass furniture and a small sight bead on top of the barrel band. Marked “Durant Charleville” on the lock and mechanically functions fine. Metal finish is original “in the white” with some gray and brown patina. 4 3/8” barrel has a pitted smooth bore. Stock has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. Left side of grip has a small chip by the butt cap. Complete with correct original ramrod. A nice antique French flintlock pistol that will make a fine addition to a collection.
