WWII British No. 4 Mk I Enfield rifle French Resistance 1944

WWII British No. 4 Mk I Enfield Rifle – French Resistance Used

WWII BRITISH NO. 4 MK I ENFIELD RIFLE-FRENCH RESISTANCE USED-1944

Very good condition WWII British No. 4 MK I Enfield Rifle in .303 British caliber that is marked “M/47C” on the left side of the receiver socket for manufacture by BSA (Birmingham Small Arms Company) Shirley and dated 1944. This interesting rifle was supplied to the French Resistance during the war and was later imported by Navy Arms, who applied a discreet import mark on the receiver. Rifle has “PP” suffix serial numbers on the receiver side rail and receiver socket, which were applied by the French police who acquired these rifles after the war. These rifles were imported with sling, but no magazines. The magazine currently in the rifle is a reproduction. The serial numbers on the receiver and bolt do not match, which is common with these French Resistance guns. Metal finish is nice original blue showing a little normal wear. Bore is bright and excellent with strong rifling. Stock has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. Complete with correct original British web sling. A hard to find French Resistance used No. 4 MK I Enfield Rifle that will make an excellent addition to a collection!
