Good condition antique US Army Smith & Wesson First Model Schofield Revolver in .45 S&W caliber. Mechanically functions fine. Marked “U.S.” on the butt. Metal finish is reblue showing some wear and loss. 7” barrel has a good bore with strong rifling and some pitting. Wood grips have been refinished and show some handling marks. Left side grip has a very faint inspector cartouche. A good representative example of a hard to find Smith & Wesson Schofield Revolver.
