Good condition original WWII Japanese army late war NCO sword that is complete with matching numbered scabbard. Right side of blade has the Seki Inspection Unit kanji character proof mark and a serial number. Blade has original bright finish with a dried coat of storage grease. Hilt fittings have original black paint with some normal flaking. Wood grip has original finish and shows some handling marks and a couple of cracks. The screw and nut fittings are missing. Matching numbered steel scabbard has original black paint with some scattered flaking and a few dents. A good representative example of a late war Japanese army NCO sword with matching numbers.
