
Good condition original antique French Mle 1822 T bis pistol in .71 caliber. Originally made as a flintlock smoothbore and later arsenal converted to percussion and the bore rifled. Lock has St. Etienne Arsenal markings. Barrel is dated 1833. Breech tang has the model designation, along with “T” for percussion conversion and “bis” for rifled. Mechanically functions fine and tight, but the nipple is damaged. Metal finish is original “in the white” with some gray and brown patina. Bore is poor, dark and pitted. Stock ahs original finish and shows some normal wear and handling marks. Left side of stock has a crack by the breech. Complete with correct original ramrod. A classic French Mle 1822 pistol that will make a great addition to a collection!
