ANTIQUE OTTOMAN MODEL 1874 TYPE A PEABODY MARTINI RIFLE-EXCELLENT

Excellent condition antique Ottoman Model 1874 Type A Peabody Martini Rifle in .45 Turk caliber that has Providence Tool Co. manufacturer markings on the left side of the receiver and the Sultan Tughra crest on the right side of the receiver. Mechanically functions fine and tight. Metal finish is excellent original blue showing very little wear. Bore is bright and excellent with strong rifling. Stock has nice original finish and crisp edges with a few normal handling marks. Complete with correct original cleaning rod. Also comes with original M1874 Peabody Martini socket bayonet that is in very good condition. Bayonet is unmarked and has original “in the white” finish with some gray and brown patina. Complete with working lock ring. Fits rifle well, except the cleaning rod interferes with it going on the whole way. A really nice, uncommon Ottoman Peabody Martini Rifle!
