
Excellent condition WWII US military M1 Carbine in .30 Carbine caliber that was manufactured by Inland, as marked on the receiver. Serial number 339xxx, which dates it to the first block of production (May 1942-December 1943). Magazine is marked “U” for Union Hardware, gun otherwise has all Inland parts. Early flip-up rear sight and narrow barrel band. Early slide with half circle cutout. Early serrated push button safety. Barrel is dated “4-43” for April 1943. Metal finish is nice original parkerized and blued. Bore is bright and excellent with strong rifling. Stock has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. Type 1 stock with “I” oiler cutout and high wood over op rod. Left side of stock has an Augusta Arsenal “AASB” rework cartouche. Left side of stock has “IO”, flaming bomb, and ordnance wheel cartouches in the oiler cutout. Underside of wrist has “circle P” and “square P” cartouches. A nice early Inland M1 Carbine that will make an excellent addition to a collection.
