Good condition antique Massachusetts Arms Co. Wesson & Leavitt belt model revolver in .31 caliber percussion. Mechanically functions fine and tight. Nice manufacturer markings on lock and top strap. Metal has mostly brown and gray patina. Brass grip straps have nice original silver finish. Cylinder, frame, and lock have nice original engraving. 4 ½” barrel has a good bore with strong rifling and a little pitting. Wood grips have original finish and show some normal handling marks and varnish loss. Left side has a tiny chip at the toe. A hard to find revolver, with only 1,000 produced circa 1850-51, that will make a fine addition to a collection.
