Very good condition WWII Russian Model 1944 Mosin Nagant Carbine in 7.62 x 54r caliber that has the Tula Arsenal “star” marking on the barrel and dated 1944. Tula only produced 74,490 M44 Carbines, and only in 1944. Carbine is import marked on the receiver and has all matching serial numbers including barrel, bolt, floorplate, and buttplate. Metal finish is nice Russian arsenal reblue. Bore good, bright with strong rifling and some pitting. Has been counter bored at the muzzle. Stock was Russian arsenal refinished and shows some normal handling marks. Complete with correct original cleaning rod. Folding bayonet functions fine. A hard to find Tula M44 Mosin Nagant Carbine with matching numbers and an uncommon hex receiver.
