Very good condition WWII US military M1 Garand semi auto rifle in .30-06 caliber that was manufactured by Springfield Armory, as marked on the receiver. Receiver is serial number 372xxx, which dates it to manufacture in September 1941. Rifle was supplied to Great Britain as part of Lend Lease and has British proof marks on the barrel over the Springfield Armory markings. Rifle is NOT import marked and has all Springfield parts. Barrel is dated October 1941. Receiver ring, bolt, and gas port cylinder have punch dot markings. Rear sight is early type with flush nut. Early uncut op rod. All early trigger group parts. Early front sight with screw seal. Type 4 follower rod, single slot gas cylinder lock screw, and early grooved rear handguard clip. Metal finish is original parkerized showing some normal wear. Bore is good with strong rifling and is dark and pitted at the muzzle. Stock has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. Rear handguard has some chips and dings. Left side of stock has nice “SA/GHS” and “ordnance wheel” cartouches below the rear of the receiver. Underside of wrist has a “circle P” cartouche. Comes with an M1907 leather sling. A nice, rare British Lend Lease M1 Garand that will make affine addition to a collection.
