Very good condition pre WWI British MK I*** SMLE Enfield Rifle in .303 British caliber that was manufactured by L.S.A.Co. (London Small Arms Company) in 1904, as marked on the receiver. Rifle was issued to Ireland after WWI, and had a new “ER” prefix serial number applied to the receiver. Rifle is NOT import marked and has original matching serial numbers on the receiver, barrel, and forestock, and matching Irish applied serial numbers on the receiver, nosecap, and bolt. Rifle has original bolt head charger guide, magazine cutoff, and volley sights. Front volley sight is missing the pointer tip. Metal finish is original blue showing some normal wear. Bore is very good and bright with strong rifling. Stock has original finish and shows some handling marks. A hard to find MK I*** SMLE Enfield Rifle with matching numbers that will make a fine addition to a collection.
