ricasso. Blade has nice original bright finish and was period sharpened. Edge has a few tiny nicks. Nickel silver hilt has attractive darkened patina. Stag grips have a good tight fit and no damage. Fitted in correct original steel scabbard that has nickel silver throat and drag. Scabbard body has nice original anodized finish. The nickel silver fittings have matching patina to the hewer. A nice early Eickhorn RAD hewer.
