Very good condition WWII Japanese Type 99 Arisaka Sniper Rifle in 7.7 x 58mm caliber that has the Nagoya Arsenal marking on the receiver ring, along with serial number 73. This rifle is listed by serial number on page 67 in the book Banzai Special Project #17: Japanese Sniper Rifles”. Mum is ground. Rifle is NOT import marked and has matching serial numbers on the receiver and front band. Bolt does not match but is an original sniper bolt, with longer, bent handle. Rifle has original scope rail and spring, but no scope. Metal finish is original blue showing some normal wear. Bore is bright and excellent with strong rifling. Stock has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. Underside of buttstock has three small kanji character inspector proof marks. Complete with correct original cleaning rod. A good original T-99 sniper rifle for your collection.
