Good condition US military M1 Garand semi auto rifle in .30-06 caliber. Receiver is marked “SPRINGFIELD ARMORY” and is serial number 460xxx, which dates it to manufacture in December 1941. Rifle is NOT import marked and has Springfield barrel, op rod, trigger housing, and bolt. Barrel is dated “2-51” for February 1951. Rifle has early lock bar rear sight and a target front sight. Receiver was cut and rewelded. Gas port was cut under the sight and the cylinder lock has had its skirt cut off. Metal finish is parkerized showing some wear. Bore is very good and bright with strong rifling. Stock has been refinished and has even color. Stock is unmarked. A good example for your collection.
