NO IMPORT-ORIGINAL RIFLE LENGTH AND CALIBER
Good condition Portuguese Model 1904 Mauser Vergueiro Rifle in 6.5 x 58mm caliber that has a nice King Carlos I crest on the receiver ring and DWM Berlin manufacturer markings on the side rail. Rifle is NOT import marked and has matching serial numbers on the receiver, stock, and floorplate. Bolt does not match. Rifle was never shorted to Model 1904/39 configuration or converted to 8mm. Metal finish is original blue showing a little normal wear. Bore is good with strong rifling and some gray. Has a little pitting. Stock has been sanded and refinished and shows some normal handling marks. Right side of stock has a faint matching serial number below the receiver. Rifle is marked “UDF 15551” on the buttplate tang, which is unknown significance to me. Complete with cleaning rod. A hard to find Portuguese Model 1904 Mauser Vergueiro Rifle.
