Good condition original WWII German SS officer dagger. This interesting example was assembled shortly after the war from original parts for the souvenir market. Blade has nice bright finish. Edge has a few nicks and dings. Nice etched “Meine Here Heist Treue” motto. Opposite side of blade is engraved “LT. PAUL P. ROSENTHAL KITZINGEN GERMANY”. Guards have nice original bright finish. Lower guard has SS “I” district marking. Wood grip has original finish and a few hairline cracks. Nice eagle and SS runes inserts. Fitted in correct original steel scabbard that has nice original black paint and bright plated finish with a few minor dings. An interesting SS dagger for your collection.
