Good condition antique US Navy Winchester Lee Model 1895 Rifle in 6mm Lee caliber that is marked “U.S.N./anchor/No.7110/N.C.T.” on the receiver ring. The serial number and inspector initials indicate this is a first contract (1898) example. Receiver side rail has Winchester manufacturer markings. Mechanically complete and functions fine. Magazine has an added floorplate. Metal finish is original blue showing some wear to the white. 28” barrel has original rear sight and original front sight base with a replaced blade. There are a few wrench marks to the shank. Bore is dark with average rifling. Stock has been shortened, thinned, and reshaped. Shows some handling marks and scratches. Left side of heel has a few chips. A hard to find US Navy Winchester Lee rifle in any condition.
