Good condition antique Portuguese Model 1885 Guedes single shot rifle in 8 x 60r caliber that has nice Steyr manufacturer markings on the left side of the receiver. Mechanically functions fine. Rifle is NOT import marked and has all matching serial numbers. Metal finish is original blue showing some normal wear. Front sight is broken. Bore is bright and excellent with strong rifling. Forend has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. Left side of forend has a matching serial number. Stock has been refinished. Left side of wrist has a repaired crack. Left side buttstock has a matching serial number. Right side buttstock has a Steyr roundel cartouche. Complete with correct original cleaning rod. A rare Portuguese Guedes rifle that will make a fine addition to a collection.
