Very good condition WWII Japanese Type 38 Arisaka Rifle in 6.5 x 50mm caliber that has a full untouched mum on the receiver and was manufactured by Tokyo Arsenal without a series marking. This interesting rifle comes with original WWII bringback papers allowing Technician 5th Grade Henry P. Hemersbach of the 17th Field Hospital to bring this rifle home. Rifle is, of course, NOT import marked, and has all matching assembly numbers except the floorplate, extractor, safety, and firing pin. Metal finish is original blue showing some wear. Bore is good, a little dark, with strong rifling. Stock has original finish and shows some handling marks. Handguard has a crack at the front. Underside of buttstock has two small kanji character inspector proof marks. Complete with correct original cleaning rod. A nice, documented vet bringback T-38 rifle with mum that will make a fine addition to a collection.
