Poor condition antique Remington Model 1890 Single Action Army Revolver in .44-40 Winchester caliber. This is a rare gun in any condition, with only 2,020 produced. This example is serial number “25”, marked on the left side of the frame under the grip, which dates it to manufacture in 1891, the first year of production. Mechanically needs work as the cylinder does not advance when the hammer is cocked, and the cylinder is mostly locked up. The ejector rod is missing. Metal has mostly brown and gray patina with some pitting. 7 ½” barrel has a dark pitted bore with average rifling. Hard rubber grips show some normal wear. Right side has a few chips. A hard to find, very early Remington Model 1890 revolver!
