Fine condition antique Swiss Model 1867/77 Peabody Rifle in 10.4 x 38 (.41 Swiss) rimfire caliber. Mechanically functions fine. Left side of receiver has nice Peabody manufacturer markings. Rifle is NOT import marked and has all matching serial numbers including barrel, forestock, and buttstock. Receiver has strong original color case hardened finish. Remaining metal finish is nice original blue showing just a little normal wear. Bore has a few dark areas at the muzzle, otherwise bright and excellent with strong rifling. Stock has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. Underside of buttstock and underside of forend both have a matching serial number. Left side of wrist has a Peabody inspector cartouche. Right side buttstock has a Swiss “cross/M” acceptance cartouche. Complete with correct original cleaning rod. A really nice Swiss Peabody Rifle!
