Very good condition antique European 16 gauge percussion muzzleloading fowling piece musket that is marked “A. Strobel” on the barrel. Mechanically functions fine. This unusual gun features a two-piece stock with a buttstock that locks with a lug at the wrist. Lock and breech are color case hardened. Buttplate has original blue finish. 30” twist barrel has nice original brown finish. Bore is very good and bright with a few pits. Stock has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. Left side of wrist has a small hairline at the forward part of the joint. Ramrod is absent. An interesting, high quality “A. Strobel” musket that will make an excellent addition to a collection!
