Good condition WWII German G.42(t) Mauser Rifle in 8mm Mauser (7.92 x 57) caliber. This is a modified version of the Czech VZ 24 Mauser rifle, produced in Czechoslovakia under German occupation and supervision. Rifle is marked “dou. 42” on the receiver ring for manufacture at BRNO in 1942. Rifle is NOT import marked and has all matching serial numbers including receiver, barrel, bolt, and handguard. Metal finish is excellent original blue showing very little wear. Bore is bright and excellent with strong rifling. Stock has been revarnished and shows some normal handling marks. The length of pull has been slightly shortened, with the butt cut and the buttplate refitted. Right side buttstock has “eagle H” and Waffenamt cartouches. Underside of buttstock has a matching serial number and a Waffenamt. Underside of wrist also has a Waffenamt. Complete with correct original cleaning rod.
