ANTIQUE SESTRORYETSK 1895 RECEIVER-EXCELLENT
Excellent condition WWII Finnish 91/30 Mosin Nagant Rifle in 7.62 x 54r caliber that has the Tikka Arsenal marking on the barrel and dated 1944. This interesting rifle was built on a repurposed receiver from a Russian M1891 rifle that was manufactured by Sestroryetsk Arsenal in 1895, as marked on the underside of the tang, and so qualifies as an antique, no FFL required to purchase. Receiver ring is marked “AZF”, indicating the receiver was taken from a rifle that was captured by the Austrians during WWI, then supplied to the Finns. Rifle is import marked on the barrel and has matching serial numbers on the barrel and bolt. Floorplate has a lined-out number, and buttplate is unnumbered. Metal finish is excellent original blue. Bore is excellent original blue. Bore is bright and excellent with sharp rifling. Stock has excellent original finish and crisp edges. Right side buttstock has a sharp clear arms depot cartouche. Complete with correct original cleaning rod and Finnish sling swivels. A very nice WWII Finn 91/30 Mosin Nagant Rifle with matching bolt and a desirable antique receiver!
